Current Focus and Results

Bill’s greatest strength is his knowledge and expertise in helping companies grow profitably.  At home in both Fortune 500 companies (where he started) and entrepreneurial businesses (which he built, managed and acquired), Bill’s leadership skills and expertise are an asset to a growing business.

Experience

Formally trained in world class business fundamentals as a member of the Management Team at Emerson Electric for ten years, Bill established a strong foundation that has served him well throughout his career.  At Emerson Electric, Bill assumed progressively larger responsibilities and contributed to the corporation’s success in planning, marketing, and management, both in the U.S. and Internationally.

Bill took a major step in 1993 becoming an entrepreneur and buying an electrical industry manufacturing firm renamed Macon Electric Coil, Inc.  As the CEO and Principal Shareholder, Bill led the development of a management team, strategy, and board that all came together to grow Macon Electric Coil eightfold over the next 15 years.

Community Commitment

Bill serves on the Board of Trustees at City Academy in St. Louis City.  He is a past board member at Rossman School and at Good Shepherd School for Children, both in Creve Coeur.  Bill is also an active volunteer with the Fair St. Louis Foundation.

Achievements

  • Established a manufacturing joint venture in China and an administrative office in Hong Kong.
  • Raised over $3 million to fund the growth of Macon Electric Coil, Inc.
  • Acquired and grew manufacturing companies in Georgia and Florida.  Relocated facilities and developed first tier management teams.
  • Spearheaded numerous strategic initiatives for Emerson Electric; actively participated in the Emerson planning process.
  • Co-Chaired an Endowment Campaign for Rossman School, raising $1.4 million to honor the retiring Head of School.
