Current Focus and Results

Angela joined Collaborative Strategies in 2001 to manage search engagements on behalf of client organizations.  Since then, she has completed more than 150 searches for executive leadership, management and administrative positions.  She serve a wide range of clients and recruits across several disciplines including business development, financial, non-profit leadership, human resources, marketing & communications, information technology and engineering, In addition, she provides human resources consultation to clients, focused on recruitment and retention strategies, policies and procedures, performance management, and compensation and bonus systems.  Angela also supports strategic planning engagements for both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.   

Experience

Angela previously served as a legal search consultant, recruiting and placing more than 50 attorneys and legal professionals in both contract and permanent positions at St. Louis law firms.  She also held a senior management position as Human Resources Director at Fact Finders, Inc., a privately-held market research consulting firm based in St. Louis.  In this role, she developed human resource programs and procedures while managing a variety of quantitative and qualitative market research projects.

Community Commitment

Recently, Angela served as the Interim Executive Director for Pedal the Cause, a cancer fundraising bike challenge supporting local cancer research.  In its inaugural year, Pedal the Cause recruited nearly 800 cyclists and raised close to $1M.  In 2011, Angela will lead the Recruitment Committee comprised of local business and hospital leaders as well as cancer advocates.  As a young cancer survivor, she will continue to seek out volunteer opportunities in the cancer community.  Angela serves on the HR Committee for SSDN, a not-for-profit organization that provides early childhood support for working parents and their children.  She served as the chair of SSDN’s 120th Annual Gala in April 2006 and co-chaired the event in 2007.  She is an active member of the Human Resources Management Association of Greater St. Louis and the Society of Human Resource Management.

Achievements

  • Built a human resources function from the ground up resulting in improvements to the client’s benefits program, staff training, development opportunities, and clear guidance on policies and procedures.
  • Designed and launched a college recruitment program for a national architectural firm to heighten awareness and achieve successful attraction of “A-player” students in leading architectural studies programs.
  • Built up the executive management team of a leading importer/wholesale supplier by recruiting three senior-level professionals including a Chief Operating Officer, Vice President of Sales, and Human Resources Director within one year. 
  • Developed and presented a Strategic Talent Management Plan to the Executive Committee of a large industrial holding company, transforming the role of Human Resources from transactional to a strategic partner. Recruited the Human Resources Executive to implement the plan.
